NEW INNOVATION:
In this way a customer can have a stacking mechanism unique to themselves, their tray will not stack with any other, meaning that they are effectively useless when attempted to be utilised outside of the tray “family” to which they belong. This will go a way toward simplifying control of bread trays in the trade.
A new generation dairy crate design was finalised in 2005 which will address the shortcomings of the existing industry standard. The new concept will offer nesting to 50% and also be of lighter weight than the current market offerings.
It utilises a unique and patented nesting and stacking design which does away with the need for the traditional “feet” generally used when nest/stack features are incorporated into a ctare offering.
MCG Industries is also a set to launch an innovative and ground breaking lightweight, non-returnable Agri-Tray with lid, which will be known as the Opti-Tray.
This will be targeted at the export fruit market (especially grapes) as an alternative to the current 300x400 corrugated carton. Due to the very light weight, it will be extremely price competitive versus cartons, but will offer the following advantages:
• Opti-Tray will be manufactured from Polypropylene so it is fully recyclable.
• Opti-Tray is resistant to moisture.
• Opti-Tray will offer bond and column stacking ability.
• Opti-Tray will offer exceptional ventilation through all sides allowing much faster cooling time in cold rooms.
• Opti-Tray will nest to 75% thereby ensuring cost-effective transportation.
• Opti-Tray will be supplied with lightweight, ventilated, clip-on lids to ensure that the packs remain pilfer-proof and the contents are always completely protected.
• Opti-Tray does not require assembly.
